Dawn believes in fostering the growth of organizations that are making a difference in the world. From programs that offer international peace scholarships to camps that train youth to utilize their artistic skills as a form of advocacy, below are a few of the organizations Dawn supports.

The Chantal Paydar Foundation, which was established to commemorate the life of Chantal Paydar and to continue her life’s calling towards establishing equality in the world. The Foundation emphasizes the importance of establishing and fostering human connections amongst people of different backgrounds through education and multicultural exchange. The Foundation seeks to establish a humanitarian approach towards addressing ethnic, gender and political inequality in the world community.

Art in Action (currently a division of United Roots Oakland) empowers youth leaders by engaging arts for social change through personal, social, political, and cultural education. The program works collectively with youth from diverse historically disenfranchised communities impacted by violence through programs in music, media arts, spoken word/poetry, dance/theater, storytelling, and painting

The mission of Global Leadership Adventures is to empower students to become agents of positive change across borders. Beyond taking high school students on community service programs around the world, GLA asks students around the world to consider their role in the world and their responsibility to fellow human beings, regardless of nationality or culture.
